Στην Δερύνεια προσωπιδοφόροι μπήκαν σε σπίτια και δεξιών και αριστερών, και κατέστρεψαν εμπόρευμα αριστερών μαγαζιών. Σε ένα άλλο σπίτι μπήκαν και κατέστρεψαν Αγγλική σκόνη πλυσίματος, ενώ τον είχαν προειδοποιήσει και το προηγούμενο βράδυ να μην αγοράσει πάλι Αγγλικά, αλλά Κυπριακή σκόνη πλυσίματος. Αφότου έφυγαν οι προσωπιδοφόροι διαπληκτίστηκαν με αριστερούς, οι οποίοι και προξένησαν ζημιές στις νέες εθνικόφρονες συντεχνίες. Ωστόσο, το φταίξιμο, σύμφωνα με την εφημερίδα, ήταν των αριστερών, εξού και ο τίτλος της εφημερίδα, όπως επίσης, και κατηγορούνται ότι είναι εχθροί των κυπριακών προϊόντων

In Dherynia EOKA fighters entered the houses of both right-wing and left-wing supporters, and they ruined the merchandise of left shops, because it was British.
